Every year, BusinessWeek, one of the most credible financial magazines, selects the top 40 companies in the world. The selection is based on a number of factors such as commitment to innovation, expansion strategy, leadership and most importantly, vision for the future. To create the list BW evaluated some 2,500 listed companies throughout the world, based on sales, growth and value creation. The Top 40 list came from 18 countries and a broad spectrum of industries. Nintendo has claimed the top spot! The success of the Wii console and the DS handheld game machines, which continues to far outsell rival consoles such as PS3 and Xbox, where instrumental in the growth and success of Nintendo. None of Nintendo’s rivals made it in the list!
